Creating discovery posts from an interview question

Sometimes you may want to showcase a particular interview question that has a lot of insightful responses, UserBit allows you to publish an interview question to the portal along with the relevant responses.

Like interviews and people, this post is also dynamic, which means that you can publish a question to Discovery, and any responses to that question (now or in the future) will automatically show up in the Discovery post.

Publishing an interview question to the Discovery Portal

To publish an interview question to the Discovery Portal, navigate to the cross-case view: Interviews > Groups > [Interview Group] > Click on the Question

Now we can publish this question by using the Publish to Discovery Portal button in the top right of this page.

When you publish a question to the Discovery Portal, any filters applied to the page is also maintained in the post.

Once a post is created, it will contain responses from all interviews from your repository project that match the question and the filters. In addition, any future responses that match the criteria will automatically be added to the post on the portal.

Digging deeper

And as before, your stakeholders can not only see the actual responses, but also dive into each participant to get a full picture of your insight.

What if I wanted to edit the title/description of the post?

When you create a dynamic post, an insight is created behind the scenes within the insights section of the repository project and stored in a special group called Created for discovery.

To edit the post, simply edit the title or summary of the relevant insight inside this group, just like you would for a regular insight post.
