User Experience (UX) - UX Words to Know
What is UX and why does it matter? what does it mean?
UX stands for user experience and in the techdesign world, it means creating a positive experience for people who are using your website, app, product, or service.
Don Norman coined the term "user experience" back in 1988 and in his opinion, users should find value in all the aspects of what you're providing, whether it's the design, graphics, or interface of your product.
And according to another UX founding father named Peter Morville, to create a meaningful and valuable user experience, your product should be: useful, usable, desirable, findable, accessible, and credible.
Example
If you can recall using a website or app that was super easy to navigate, then that's an example of good UX design! UX is important because it affects how people feel about and use a product. Good design makes people happy and loyal, while poor design can turn them away.
